WRWMG and Stroud Install Water Quality Monitor at SCCC
Friday, October 13, 2017
On October 12, representatives of Stroud Water Research Center came up to Sussex County to install a stream water quality sensor on the campus of Sussex County Community College. The sensors are equipped with the capability to measure temperature, conductivity, depth, and turbidity of the Paulins Kill River and can be utilized to track the changes in river health as water quality improvement projects are installed on the college campus. Students will work with the WRWMG to monitor and maintain the sensors, gaining valuable water quality monitoring skills that will benefit the students for years to come within the environmental field.
