Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation Supports Wallkill River Reforestation Initiative

Monday, November 06, 2017

The Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation recently awarded the SCMUA-Wallkill River Watershed Management Group $3,200 to purchase wetland boots for students to wear during tree planting opportunities along the Wallkill River. The boots will enable students to walk out to the planting site during their science classes without having to worry about their shoes becoming wet and muddy at the floodplain planting site, making for an enjoyable outdoor experience for all.

The Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation is a 501c3 dedicated to pursuing research, treatment methods, and education to protect the quality of Lake Mohawk and the greater Wallkill River Watershed.
