Think Outside Day a Huge Success

5th graders from Byram and Sussex-Wantage recently participated in Think Outside Day at the Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge. Refuge staff organized the event and coordinated a series of different stations to immerse students in hands-on outdoor learning . The WRWMG and Newton High School FFA also ran stations at the event. Some of the topics covered were water pollution, search and rescue, animal calls, archery, forest pacing, and animal identification.
