Wallkill Watershed Group Presents in Philadelphia

Thursday, March 14, 2019

The NJ Highlands Cluster, a collection of environmental organizations working to keep local waterways clean, traveled to Philadelphia to make a presentation to the William Penn Foundation about the land preservation, restoration, and policy initiatives that are being funded as part of the Delaware River Watershed Initiative.

Kristine Rogers and Nathaniel Sajdak of the Wallkill River Watershed Management Group both presented as part of the day. Kristine discussed the stormwater management projects that have been installed in Hampton and Newton Townships. Nathaniel acted as a facilitator for the day and described how the collaboration among all of the environmental organizations is creating a new team of local all-stars who will help us keep Northern NJ’s rivers and stream free from pollution.
