Northwest NJ Rivers Conference a Huge Success!

Wallkill River Watershed Management Group partnered the NJ Highlands Coalition and other environmental organizations throughout northern NJ to plan the 1st annual Northwest New Jersey Rivers Conference as part of ongoing outreach, restoration, and land protection efforts funded through the Delaware River Watershed Initiative.
The Northwest NJ Rivers Conference was hosted at Centenary University in Hackettstown and consisted of 12 free workshops targeted towards municipal officials, students, and the general public. In total, over 100 local residents attended the event and learned more about land use planning, ecotourism and economic development, Highlands Conformance, restoration, and financial planning for conservation.
