Kristine Rogers, Education Specialist for the WRWMG, recently wrapped up the Choose 2 Connect (C2C) environmental education program that she organized at Halsted Middle School and Merriam Avenue Elementary School in Newton, NJ with funding provided by NJ Future.

The final program was a stormwater-themed career panel that helped the students recognize different career paths that they can enter that are related to environmental stewardship and stormwater management. The panelists reflected on their path to getting to their current position and outlined their recommendations for the types of courses that students should take now in order to work within the environmental field in the future.

The panelists included:

  • Juniper Leifer- Lopatcong Creek Initiative Project Manager (New Jersey Highlands Coalition)
