Celebrate Trees on International Day of Forests!
Friday, March 19, 2021
Our forests are a key component to combating climate change and ensuring that we all have a healthy future. Check out this recent picture of our 4-mile reforestation corridor project where over 25,000 trees have been planted along the Paulins Kill River. These trees are not only producing oxygen and absorbing carbon dioxide, but they are also helping to filter polluted runoff, reduce erosion along the riverbanks, and provide habitat for creatures on land and in the water. This Sunday, let’s celebrate International Day of Forests and all that trees do for people and the natural environment!
