WRWMG Spruces Up McKeown School Rain Garden

The Wallkill River Watershed Management Group and their high school intern conducted a work day at the McKeown Elementary School rain garden in preparation for the start of the new school year. The WRWMG plans to bring McKeown students out this fall for a student work day to help mulch the rain garden. The mulch will help the rain garden retain moisture during the hot summer months and will also help to suppress weed growth, allowing the native flowers and shrubs we planted in 2016 to thrive!
