High Point High School Students Plant Trees at Berry Road

A.P. environmental science students at High Point High School recently participated in a 2-part field trip to Culver Lake in Frankford and Berry Road in Wantage where they learned about the importance of rain gardens for stormwater management as well as the benefits of planting trees along streams, lakes, and ponds.

Students were able to kick-off the restoration at the Berry Road property by installing 150 native trees and shrubs in small planting pockets throughout the property. Wantage Township is working to develop a long-term plan of how the property will be utilized to balance the various recreational and ecological interests of residents.
