SCMUA-WRWMG Installs Porous Paver Courtyard at Newton High School

The SCMUA-WRWMG partnered with the Newton School District and Ray Bears Landscaping to install a porous paver green infrastructure project within the high school’s courtyard area. The project, funded by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, will allow stormwater runoff to filter through the stones to the soil underneath. This helps to replenish groundwater supplies while also reducing the volume of stormwater runoff that flows into the storm drain during each rainstorm.
