Restoration Continues at Wawayanda State Park

Ian Keebler, the SCMUA-WRWMG's AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassador for 2021-2022, continued restoration efforts at Wawayanda State Park on Wednesday with help from the WRWMG staff and local volunteers. The group planted flowering shrubs and plants that will attract pollinators to the meadow. In late March, volunteers helped clear invasive autumn olive from a section of the field in order to open up new pollinator planting areas. Over time, the park maintenance staff hopes to establish a native, pollinator walking trail through the meadow.
