New Rain Gardens Installed at Pope John High School

The WRWMG worked with Rutgers Cooperative Extension-Water Resources Program and the Pope John High School students and staff to install a new rain garden within the parking lot islands at Pope John High School. The Gardening Club assisted with the planting as part of a hands-on lesson coordinated by the WRWMG. The project was funded by a National Fish and Wildlife Foundation grant secured by Rutgers so the project was installed at no cost to the school.

Additional planting of a third rain garden will be completed at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year.
