Halsted Rain Garden Gets a Fresh Coat of Mulch

The WRWMG spread fresh mulch on the Halsted Middle School rain garden to gear up for the start of the new school year. The mulch helps to hold moisture in the soil after a rainstorm and will also help to suppress weeds that try to outcompete the native flowers and shrubs that were planted in the rain garden.
