Realtors Care Day Volunteer Event Hosted at Lafayette Park

17 realtors, children, and community members worked with the WRWMG as part of the 1st annual Realtors Care Day organized by the Sussex County Association of Realtors. Participants help to build and paint bluebird and bat habitat boxes to be installed at the WRWMG’s stream restoration sites throughout the Wallkill Watershed. The habitat boxes were funded through a $1,600 grant from the Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation (LMPF). The LMPF is a local non-profit organization “dedicated to pursuing research, treatment methods, and education to protect the quality of our lakes and the Wallkill River Watershed.”
