Watershed Ambassadors Plant Trees at SCMUA Property

The 2022-2023 class of AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassadors worked with the Wallkill River Watershed Management Group to plant trees on the wastewater treatment plant property owned and operated by the Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority. 200 trees and shrubs were planted as part of the volunteer event. The event was organized to teach AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassadors how to conduct similar floodplain reforestation projects in their own watersheds throughout New Jersey.
