Sussex Tech Students Volunteer at SCMUA Restoration Site

Tuesday, November 22, 2022

20 environmental science students from Sussex County Technical School recently worked with the Wallkill River Watershed Management Group to plant trees at the SCMUA Wastewater Plant along Route 206 in Frankford Township. The students installed a total of 2,783 dormant hardwood cuttings within the wetlands on the property. Over time, each cutting will grow into a full-sized native tree or shrub and will provide habitat for local wildlife while also improving the water quality within the Paulins Kill Watershed.
