WRWMG Continues Paulins Kill Reforestation Corridor Maintenance Activities

Friday, December 09, 2022

The WRWMG has been performing fall maintenance activities at its floodplain reforestation sites within the Paulins Kill Watershed. As part of this effort, the WRWMG has been removing the plastic tree tubes off of the largest trees within the restoration site for recycling. This marks a critical step in the project where the trees that were planted by our staff and volunteers are large enough to survive pressure from wildlife (deer and voles). The tree tubes that are removed will be recycled by TerraCycle, an international corporation specializing in hard-to-recycle materials.
