Tree Tube Recycling Underway in Lafayette

The WRWMG has been capitalizing on the mild winter weather by continuing to process the plastic tree tubes that have been installed on each of its saplings within the 4-miles reforestation corridor. The tree tubes are designed to remain on the young trees for 5-7 years to protect against damage caused by the deer or voles. Now that the trees have grown large enough that the plastic tree tubes are ready to be removed, the WRWMG has formed a partnership with TerraCycle to properly recycle all of its tree tubes.
