Lake Residents Learn about Rain Gardens

Paulins Kill Watershed lake community residents attended a virtual training hosted by the SCMUA-Wallkill River Watershed Management Group and Rutgers Water Resources Program to learn about the benefits of rain gardens for stormwater management. Attendees now have an opportunity to work one-on-one with Rutgers’ engineers and landscape architects to receive a customized rain garden design plan for their properties. The design plans can be used to construct the rain gardens, and then, once the garden is installed, homeowners will be eligible to receive a rain garden rebate to offset the costs of rain garden installation.
