Hamburg School Environmental Club Learns about Impact of Water Pollution

Middle school students in the Hamburg School Environmental Club worked with the SCMUA-WRWMG’s Education Specialist to learn about watersheds and the impact of “people pollutants” like fertilizer, pesticide, road salt, litter, and motor oil have on Sussex County’s rivers and streams. The group also had a chance to look at live macroinvertebrates (aquatic insects) that Kristine collected from the Wallkill River.
