Merriam Avenue School Students Work at Memory Park Rain Garden

Students in the Recycling Club at Merriam Avenue School in Newton worked with the SCMUA-Wallkill River Watershed Management Group to conduct spring maintenance on the Memory Park rain garden. Students helped to pull weeds and clear dead brush out of the rain garden while also learning about green infrastructure and the impact of “people pollution” on our watersheds.
