6th Annual Northwest NJ Rivers Conference is a Success!

The SCMUA-WRWMG Education and Outreach Specialist worked with the NJ Highlands Coalition and several other conservation partners to organize the 6th annual Northwest NJ Rivers Conference at Centenary University on Friday, October 18th. The event featured 12 different workshops focused on 1) pollution and its impacts, 2) lands and forests, 3) working together, and 4) unique projects in protection and restoration. Kristine Rogers of the SCMUA-WRWMG was also one of the featured speakers at the event and presented alongside Dean Blumetti (Sparta Township Deputy Mayor) about the success of the Sparta Glen restoration project. A total of 144 people attended the conference, including 17 college students!
