NJ Watershed Ambassador Hosts Rain Barrel Workshop in Sparta

Jenna Black, the NJ Watershed Ambassador for the Wallkill River Watershed, hosted a rain barrel workshop at the Sparta Municipal Building as part of a partnership project with the Sparta Environmental Commission and the Wallkill River Watershed Management Group. The rain barrels were donated by Ocean Spray and the PepsiCo companies, and the hardware was funded by the Wallkill River Watershed Management Group. Participating residents learned about the stormwater management benefits of rain barrels, and then, they had a chance to construct their own rain barrel to install at home. A total of 10 rain barrels were built as part of the event.
