WRWMG Educates about Pollution and Water Conservation at Preschool Storytime

Thursday, August 07, 2025

Kristine Rogers of the Wallkill River Watershed Management Group conducted preschool programming at the Sussex County Library System (Louise Childs Branch in Stanhope and the Dennis Branch in Newton) to teach children about water conservation and the threats of pollution to healthy water systems. The children discussed the different ways that they use water each day, heard a story about fish taking action to clean up litter from the ocean, and then participated in an interactive presentation using the EnviroScape model to see how pollution flows into streams, lakes, and the ocean.
