Newton High School Rain Garden Gets a Fresh Layer of Mulch

The SCMUA-WRWMG helped mulch the Newton High School rain garden this week. As you can see, the New England asters are still in full bloom and are being enjoyed by plenty of happy pollinators! This rain garden manages stormwater runoff from a section of the school’s rooftop, helping to reduce the volume of water that enters the storm drain and nearby Paulins Kill River during precipitation events.
