Culver Brook Preserve Opens to Public
Thursday, February 13, 2025
Thanks to the hard work of a host of conservation organizations and local environmental stewards, the former Culver Lake Golf Course property has been purchased for permanent preservation by the Greater Culver Lake Watershed Conservation Foundation and is being converted into a wildlife preserve. The 93-acre property, referred to as the Culver Brook Preserve, is now open to the public. Beginning in spring-summer 2025, the landscape will be reforested by the SCMUA-Wallkill River Watershed Management Group to improve the water quality of Culver Brook and the headwaters of the Paulins Kill.
